I've done it again!

I sold off my Acer Laptop and the Gateway Netbook! I am now the owner of the Asus 1410-2801 Notebook. It has the 11.6" screen and the dual core Intel Celeron processor! It came with only 2Gig of memory and well, that seems to be enough for now. It came with Windows 7 Home Premium. So far I like it. But you know, it will more than likely get replaced in about 6 months! Ha!

Memory Upgrade!

I have replaced the memory on my netbook with Kingstons HyperX 2Gig memory. It did increase the speed. A $26 investment. I believe it was worth it. Now every app I run is speedier than before. Next, I am waiting for the price on the ssd's to come down. I will invest in one, but would like the 500 gig ssd. Which, at this time, the highest capacity ssd is 250Gig and is priced at $725 (ouch) at NewEgg. That is quite high for 250 Gig.

Technology, how it manipulates us

I've recently sold my EEEpc. I had to, I was in need of something faster. So I then invested money on an ASUS laptop. It was great, fast, bright screen, but too heavy. I still have it, but it is going up for sale soon. Now I have a Gateway LT3103U Netbook. This beautiful slick machine is exactly what I wanted. Instead of the SLOOOOWWWW Atom processor, it has the AMD64 1.2Ghz processor and 2 gigs of memory. It is fast. Unfortunately, it came with Windows Vista, so I think I will upgrade to Windows 7 when it comes out. Then I will have it just how I need it to be. This gem will become my tool out in the field. Photography field, that is, when I need to view and edit. Even with Vista, it operates very fast. I have not noticed any slow processing. I have installed CCleaner and WiseRegistry Cleaner. Just to make sure it stays fast. Don't want the Registry to get too FAT.

This is all for now, catch you later,

The G1

I went ahead and upgraded my phone to the G1. I think this phone is great. I do miss the small form of the HTC Touch and the onscreen keyboard. But the G1 has some really good stuff. I like how I can have my gmail and cdpaa emails come to my phone. The calendar is great too.

The things I would like to see for it are a better Image Viewer like the Slide 2 View (S2V) and then there's the Music Player, I really like Slide 2 Play (S2P). Both of these are Windows Mobile apps. I am hoping that the author for these two apps would create them for the Android OS, or port them over. I'll post more when I find some more cool apps that come out.
